Information we collect
Depending on how you use the store, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, organization or professional practice, affiliation, account details, shipping and billing information, orders, requests, service requirements, and communications with QTSI.
We also collect information needed to operate and secure the service, such as account session data, IP address, browser and device information, and security or fraud-prevention events. We collect information from you, your approved organization or association when it manages an affiliation, our fulfillment partners, and service providers involved in your order.
How we use information
We use personal information to review access applications, administer affiliations, authenticate accounts, process and deliver orders, provide support and requested services, respond to product and technology requests, manage billing and records, prevent fraud and misuse, improve the store, and communicate about orders, account security, and service updates.
We limit collection, use, and disclosure to purposes a reasonable person would consider appropriate in the circumstances. Where consent is required, we request it; some processing is necessary to provide the store or fulfill a contract.
When we share information
We may share the information needed for a particular purpose with QTSI personnel and account administrators, your approved organization or association where required to administer the affiliation, IPCONNEX or other fulfillment and technology partners, manufacturers or authorized service providers for warranty and support, payment and shipping providers, and professional advisers or authorities where required by law.
We do not sell personal information. Service providers may process information on our behalf and are expected to protect it and use it only for the services they provide.
Safeguards and retention
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information. No online service can be guaranteed completely secure, so protect your credentials and tell us promptly about suspected unauthorized access.
We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here, to maintain business and tax records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal or security requirements. Retention periods vary by record type.
Access, correction, and privacy questions
Where PIPEDA or another applicable privacy law applies, you may request access to personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information. To make a request or ask a privacy question, email info@qtsi.ca with enough information for us to locate your records. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
We generally respond to access requests within the time required by applicable law. You may also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the applicable provincial privacy regulator if you have concerns about our handling of personal information.
